"..like a drunk whose lost a bet," - di, shaun of the dead.
today was a little different. prior to going to bed last night i told myself that i was going to get an early night's sleep and be well rested for the coming day of uni. i was in bed by about 2am which is pretty good for me, but i couldn't get to bed still 7am, which is when my alarm decided to go off. i turned it off and crashed back into bed only to be woken up by my little sister 40 mintues later so i could drive her to school.
so i had 40 mintues sleep. whoop.
uni was alright, kinda cool actually cos i was able to stay awake the entire 2 hour-long Torts lecture. our lecture is a pretty cool guy and i like the way he teaches so i didn't mind coming in. but after that i went along to a friend's student theatre thing which was pretty entertaining. it was kind of like a "whose line is it, anyway?" format where the actors on stage would be feeding off of each other's dialogue, making things up as the went along. and i gotta admit, they can do it rather well.
if any of you guys are interested in going along to one of these things, they run every monday from 1:15pm till 2:15pm and i think it costs $1. it aint bad guys, so you should check it out. kudos to mark (mr. hollingsworth himself) and simon who gave both inspired and entertaining performances.
but now i've finished for the day at uni. i'm gonna try and stay awake until about 1am this morning so i can have the best sleep ever tonight.
goddamn i'm tried.

haha hey mate, took me a few seconds to figure out what " I blogged about it" meant hah but I found it.
Thanks for the advertisement man and the kind words haha. Some of us are newer to the whole thing than others but its a good learning experience for everyone involved and were slowly building up more people and skills.
O yeah and it should be from 1:15pm to 2pm hah at Monash Student theatre. we must have went over time.
Thanks for coming I was very impressed at your ability to stay awake through the whole thing with only 40 minutes sleep! hah
i didn't know that was your first time doing that improv stuff, so congrats again. it looks kinda fun but i know i wouldn't be able to get on stage - i was bad enough at high school english oral presentations.
but it's cool that you're able to do it.
and yeah, i did have an alright sleep that night, despite only getting to bed around 3am.

Hey Monin...this is Linda. Currently on a study break and I'm bored from all these assignments I have due this week and accidentally came upon your blog. Wow do you watch a lot of movies! hehe
I must say, you give very good critiques (is that how you spell it? LOL) of films.
Anyway, was wondering if you've seen the movie 'The Amityville Horror'. My sis and her boyfriend saw it last night and they both shitted themselves after watching the movie (e.g. the boyfriend was too scared to drive home after seeing the movie, so he slept over our house because he was too scared to be by himself in the car! LOL).
I have yet to see this movie. But, after seeing my sis's boyfriend shit himself...I really want to see it now hehe.
Anyway, have you seen it? If so, did you shit yourself as much as my sis's boyfriend did? lol
I'm interested to see what kind of film critique you would give the Amityhill Horror hehe.
P.S. Sorry for the long comment. Comments are supposed to be short and concise right? hehe
hey hey... actually i have seen the amityville horror, both the orginal one made in the 70s and the remake that jsut been released.
the remake is a lot better than the original, and is closer to the book that it is based on. i'll provide a more detailed review about it a little later, but in short - it gets pretty scary.
but it's not a lingerking kind of scary, jsut "loud bang" kinda scary. they get a few cheap scares in there but overall the film was pretty good. if you have a weak stomach, i suggest you don't eat before you go in ;).

no way near as scary as 2001: A space oddysey. Im willing to bet my entire life's asset on it.
That movie is so scary i'll kill myself if i have to watch just another 10 minutes of that again. Now that's scary.

i only sat through half of that movie, and yet i still wanted to stab myself in the eye with a pencil.
scary indeed.
